A Walk in the Woods

Just managed to snatch time for walk through the Woodland Trust's Dunscliffe Woods nearb,y in between marking and a trip to Strode for a meeting about the college trip to Iceland in March.
The woods were so beautiful - it's the sound of the trees in the wind which I love. However, it was hard to imagine that in a few month,s they will be full of wood anemones then bluebells. At the moment, there just seemed to be mud everywhere.

The meeting about Iceland revealed an exciting itinerary - worth threatening Stan with hiding in his suitcase for the Blue Lagoon alone ( he was not amused)!

On the way home we ended up calling at The Pilgrim Restaurant - well the car park to be exact, as Stan was suddenly very sick - I elicited the help of the owner with a bucket of water for slooshing! He was just as friendly as hs witticisms displayed on blackboards outside his restaurant would suggest - even offered a glass of water- not quite the wining and dining moment I'd had hopes of when I imagined calling there!
