Monstersaurus

It's not all that often that Phil "does bedtime" so naturally they are very excited when he comes to read bedtime stories. Tonight's picks were 'Wake up do, Lydia Lou' (twice) and 'Monstersaurus' - a new favourite with the both of them as it requires monster kissing :)

Diddy has been on top form since we picked him up from Karen's. Lily was crying on the way home (she wanted milk and hasn't quite grasped the concept of waiting) and so the boy and I were singing songs to cheer her up. Dylan made up a song which was quite honestly hilarious. It was sung to the tune of "on top of spaghetti.." but started out "on top of my porridge was a noodle" then this noodle went on all kinds of adventures in his song - getting trapped in a lift, being run over by a car, falling out of a window, getting wrapped around a lampost...before finally landing back in the bowl at home with his friend porridge. it must have lasted a good 5 minutes :-D if only i could have recorded it...bless him.

He's also been telling us loads about his afternoon at school. Not often we get to hear in any level of detail what he's been up to so was really nice to hear him talk about his friends and the games they played.

Lily has perfected her scowl, lol. She's going to be quite the handful when she's older. She might not be able to talk all that much yet in English (she has her own little language) but you sure know when she's not happy with you. If looks could kill....! That said, we've had a couple of new words today "mouse" and "back"
