Dr Williams School footbridge

It's strange how some structures become so familiar that you stop really noticing them. This footbridge is out of use, but when it was suggested that it be demolished there was an outcry and a call for funds to be spent to restore it, at least cosmetically. It was built in 1938, and it seems amazing that the road was regarded so busy then that a bridge was required for the girls of the then Dr Williams School.
