Calm after the Storm

I spent a couple of hours out of doors clearing away dead wood, cutting back and pruning in the garden. I have a fair sized garden so there is always a lot to do, but I love being out of doors. It was a clear and windy morning and suddenly a wintry storm blew in and I was caught in a downpour of rain, sleet and hail - chilly, wet and energising. By late afternoon the storm was clearing and I took this picture from the farm gate across the lane from my cottage, looking across the meadow towards the edge of Felbrigg Great Wood.
