Mystery Egg?

I took several reasonable good photographs today, mainly of a ship and macro flower from Cardwell Garden Centre. On returning home we noticed debris which we thought had been the birds cleaning out the gutter. We then noticed the egg in the flower pot. No idea who the mother is, its bigger than a hens egg and it would appear to have a small peck hole in it. Answers on a postcard please.
