Public Pumpkin Proclamation !

It's election day tomorrow in New Jersey to select a new Governor and various local officials whose names are probably only known by the candidates themselves .. if that :-))

As you all know Long Valley was once a thriving farming community. 12 of the remaining 15 farms are for sale totaling 15,000 acres.

The fields of corn , barley , pumpkins and vegetables are being replaced by fields of houses. The orchards are disappearing at an alarming rate as are the Clydesdale horses.

The whole valley will soon be gone. The restoration and preservation groups are impotent in the face of the wheelers and dealers who have millions in their back pockets { along with the politicians I suspect }

Whilst your intrepid blipper Camera, Books Music was out and about today conversing with the pumpkins as opposed to chatting with the canvassing politicians since he wanted an educated opinion and the pumpkins were by far the more intelligent group, he blipped this group for you.

They are sitting on the fence for the moment trying to decide who will be the best lobbyist for supporting the continuation of their ancient way of life.

Unfortunately they don't hold out much hope, so there they sit admiring the view and waiting for the sun to set in Long Valley.
