it's curtains for the cold!

Today I came home to find Lizi working hard at sewing our new curtains. The fabric has sat in the corner of the lounge ever since Mum came to visit and helped us to buy it.

Several things conspired for it to take this long. Life, for example, and the fact that last time we turned on the faithful Necchi it wouldn't go, dead. Last night I had 'one last look at it', removing covers and poking at bits but deciding there was nothing I could see wrong or do to fix it. Nevertheless I plugged it in afterwards and away it went!

It's amazing how much warmer it is with curtains...
