Live @ Botanique

I went to see a Belgian band called Thibet live tonight as part of a winter music festival taking place at a cool venue in the city centre. Botanique used to house Brussels' botanical gardens, but suffered the perils of limited public funding over the past 100 years or so and has diversified its activities ever since. It still has gardens, but is now a venue proper and has morphed into one of the city's best places to see great live music. Getting a chance to see it - and five great bands - was definitely well worth the €7 entry fee.
