Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

It's been raining boulders!

This lonely 12 inch glacial boulder is sitting on top of the large mobile sand dune at the south end of the Sands of Forvie. It is lying a couple of hundred feet above sea level and is several hundreds of yards from the beach. How on earth did it get there?

Down on the estuary shore I found a plastic fish box belonging to the Castletownbere Fishermen's Co-op. Castletownbere lies on the coast of Bantry Bay in County Cork, Eire! Clearly the world is on the move at the moment!

As you can see, this morning we enjoyed a return of sunshine and blue skies. But not for long!
