Bud nearly in Bloom!

I photographed this amaryllis in my friend's house this morning .... I think it's going to be red! The amaryllis is an amazing plant to watch - it almost grows in front of your eyes with the enormous flower heads bursting open at the top of a long, thick green stem. Sometimes the blooms are so heavy the green stems need staking to keep them upright.
