the mint with a hole

This arrived today: a whole kilogram of Jamieson and Smith's lovely 2-ply laceweight, all in a single strand, wound in a cone. It's not dyed or bleached, just the pale creamy white of a Shetland sheep, and it has the yummy, woolly, oily, Shetlandly smell. I can't wait to get started with this gorgeous stuff. I love Jamieson and Smith and their wonderful wools and fantastic customer service, with a deep and undying love.
