Most people know that a giraffe's neck has the same number of bones as a human inspite of their length but do you know what colour a giraffe's tongue is?

The giraffe's tongue is a blue black colour. This is not because they've been sooking on blackcurrant lollies but is actually to avoid the tongue getting sunburnt as they use it to grasp leaves to eat and so use it all the time.
