Promise Of Spring

Remember those luxuriously warm weeks in summer 2013? While the UK bows its head under the onslaught of gales and flooding rains, remember them and know that the weather will change and improve.

There was a weather-window this morning so I seized the moment, left my work desk and walked around the village. The place does look rather sorry for itself, bedraggled and mossy -yet the eye-catching winter jasmine, snowdrops and primulas won't be held back by the weather. There are plenty of signs that Spring, like a runaway train, is unstoppable.
