Sandals beware

Here is a picture of a staircase located on campus. More specifically, this is located in the courtyard outside of the landscape architecture department. As designers, and contractors, we are supposed to create elements that within ADA regulations for a specific reason. These stairs lack the proper positive slope necessary to move water, resulting in improper drainage. The puddle that is left after rain events remains days afterwards. This can be considered a hazard. We need to make sure that all surfaces have positive drainage in our courtyard design.
