The Lighted Life

MIA at the MIA

Today I did something I never would have done a few short years ago. Frustrated beyond belief at the rogue actions of a client and witnessing the deal-chaos he caused, at 1 p.m. my head was spinning and my feet could not find the ground. I needed to find peace in my day. So, I took a brief 30 minute visit to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

There is something magical that happens to me when I am in a museum or gallery. All my tension fades away and the “other world” seems light-years away.

The power of art is its ability to touch our human spirits in meaningful, energizing and enlarging ways.
