Driftwood Dogs

These driftwood dogs are part of lots of driftwood sculptures all along the beach at Hokitika. There is a competition held each year to find the best sculpture. This one's pretty good, I reckon, although the 'dog' at the back looks more like a llama!

We're staying 2 nights in Granity; this is real West Coast country, and apparently the most eccentric town in NZ, according to one of the locals!
We're staying in a brand new cabin behind the pub, and right by the sea. We had a pub meal tonight, which was delicious, and are looking forward to exploring the wonder that is Granity, and the surrounding area.

Well, that's it, Mario's breathing down my neck for the computer!

Oh, and we spent over an hour trying to log onto the internet tonight - the things we do for blip!
