Winter Cheer

When you do get a clear sky during an English winter, the light and clarity are amazing. The weather forecast was for a few hours of clear skies this morning before the next onslaught, so I got out and about early.

This is one of the most uplifting and cheering winter flowering trees I think. This Japanese cherry (Prunus subhirtella autumnalis) beside the village church was in flower before went to Australia in mid-November. As you can see, it still is.
