The pucksters are coming!

Ordinarily, at this time of year, Neusiedlersee might be iced over and a puckster (‘An ice hockey player’, OED) or two might be spotted on the lake. But early spring-weather meant blue skies, sunshine and a champagne picnic by the lake, so sadly, not a puckster in sight. Therefore to bag today’s word of the day, I had to resort to the Winter Olympics supplement from the newspaper, where pucksters abound. I do hope we’re not in for another two weeks of Winter Olympics speak – that could test the imagination and my lateral thinking skills to their limits!
