Forth Bridge

Having eaten tea in the Hawes Inn in South Queensferry, we emerged to pouring rain. Undaunted, we drove a short distance east to get the view of this side of the Bridge, where I demonstrated that it is possible to set up a camera on a tripod and take long exposures with one hand, while the other holds the golf umbrella.

A case has just been submitted for the Forth Bridge to be granted World Heritage Site status. The UK Government has endorsed the bid, due for decision by UNESCO later this year.
