Pictured is the water tank for the heating unit on the billboard printer at work. It has a heater element in it, a bit like a kettle, and on the outside is a magnetic pump. The pump transports worm water to the print head manifold, which heats the inks. Cold inks are too syrupy and won't fire through the head units.

I discovered a few days ago that the pump was not working all the time, so the print head manifold wasn't always warm enough to make the inks flow nicely. I stipped the pump, cleaned and inspected it but in the end it was just the connection which was faulty.

After testing the machine, everything was working, pretty much as it should.

Relief.
