Bracket Fungus on Silver Birch

What a contrast to yesterday. It was decidedly DREICH. We went to Birnam, to see the National Theatre of Scotland perform Rantin, this evening. But decided to make a day of it in and around Dunkeld. We went up Kings Seat, (the one west of the A9, aka Birnam Hill). It is a Marilyn, (drop of 150 metres on all sides), and would have a good view on a fine day. Sadly, today it was a bit damp, with some wet snow underfoot on the upper slopes and a little snow falling at the summit. I took a few record shots, but none that could grace my blip. The best I could do was this fine Bracket Fungus. Rantin was excellent and the performers enjoyed it as much as the audience. The less said about the rugby the better. The wooden spoon looks a shoe-in for Scotland. :(
