Mango Scions

Our guts were collecting mango scions today. My guess is that this is north towards the Tanzanian border, where they have excellent varieties of mango. They will store them in the white cool-box and later bury them in a sand-pit to keep them cool.
Then they will be grafted on-to local mango root-stock.
I feel that the target for improved mango seedlings this year is over 10,000. It will be even hard to count them!!
Scion (grafting), a detached shoot or twig containing buds from a woody plant which is grafted onto the stock
