Looks can be deceiving ...

If it's Sunday it must be orienteering. Wharncliffe Woods on the outskirts of Sheffield was the venue. 'Whistles and cagoules compulsory' announcements may give you an idea of the weather we encountered.

Much of my time was spent deciding which of the many large boulders were on the map and could be used to aid navigation. A number of the uphill tracks resembled streams.

On returning to the car to await Richard's return I took Jet for a walk. On leaving the car the sun put in a brief appearance and so I grabbed the camera. Managed to capture these teasels against the backdrop of the only bit of blue sky available. By the time I got back to the car it was overcast and raining again!
