white water

Cabin fever had really set in by this morning so I was very glad the rain stopped and the sun came out.
I went to Long Strand and tried a walk but the wind was so fierce and so cold that we didn't walk far.
I had a bit of a drive. It was good to be out and have it be bright and sunny.

There are loads of changes to the coastline again, and plenty of signs of big tides and big seas.
At Owenahincha there was seaweed and stones all over the road. At Long Strand the dunes have been re-sculpted again. A lot of the lower path has gone completely. At Galley Head big sections of the cliffs have gone. And at Red Strand the stream is now a river, the reed filled wetlands are flattened, and sand, rocks and a dead seal litter the road.

This was taken at Galley Head.

Later the rain, hail, and winds are back. There is another storm on its way.
