Blippers at Bushy Park?

I took a break from the challenges today to join a group of Blippers at Bushy Park, next to Hampton Court in West London. Some hardy souls arrived soon after 7am in the hope of some dawn shots, while the rest of us turned up at around 9am for a gentle stroll round the ponds, which were apparently rather larger than normal! We even saw some sun, though it was a bit windy, as you can see here (along with links to those who came along. Thanks to GeekMeek for arranging it.

Eventually we decamped to the cafe for a much needed hot drink and natter, before departing our various ways.

I took the opportunity for another walk across the park in search of the famed Red and Fallow Deer and found a large group grazing and resting. They were mainly fallow deer: does and youngsters. However, a small group of adult Red Deer stags had sensibly positioned themselves way from the "crowd", and were more than amenable to having their photos taken.

Some more shots from the day are in my Flickr stream
