First signs of spring?

Snow drops are always the first heralds of spring. These were growing in a crevice in a dry stone wall. It's been very mild for Yorkshire this year and we even have blossom on the cherry tree and there are signs of spring. I fear we are not past the threat of snow and ice yet and some of the tender buds and shoots will be damaged and have to start all over again. A horrid rainy day when I set off but the clouds parted and the birds started singing and I could imagine winter was on its way out.
