With my friend Jamie on a fern spotting day above Rosneath on the Clyde. This is an old slate quarry with large numbers of the parsley fern, Cryptogramma crispa. Very sadly Jamie disappeared on a plant-hunting trip to Vietnam at the end of October 2013. (His body was found more than two years later and he was brought home to be buried in Rosneath)
