Grubby's Blipfolio

Slavonian Grebe

I managed to get out for a few hours today and visited Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve. There were plenty of birds way out on the mud flats but none close enough to blip. A flock of Brent Geese (est 500+) flew in and nearly convinced me to take the camera out of the rucksack. I resisted the urge and pressed on to Pagham Lagoon where I found the Slavonian Grebe once again and have managed a slightly better shot than last time. It can be seen with one of many minnows it feeds on. I am hoping to find it close to the shoreline one of these days instead of having to watch it and photograph it from distance.
