Got the decorators in

I’ve lived in my house for nine years now, and not really done much in the way of redecoration in that time.

Prompted by being knocked up we’re looking at what needs done, with the thought that if we don’t do it now we won’t do it in another five years.

So we had a painter round today to paint some of the rooms: Our main bedroom, our ensuite and the single room where we will keep the baby.

The single room looks bigger with no furniture in it, and the main bedroom looks smaller. Weird.

I‘m pleased with the colours, that is a relief. I had a bit of a vision for the main bedroom so hopefully that will all come together. I’m hopeful, seeing the walls painted.

More coats of paint tomorrow and new carpet on Wednesday.

Then move all the new furniture into our room and buy some baby furniture at some point. No big rush with the baby furniture but it is good to have all the old crap cleared out so we have a place to put it as we buy it.
