Ystrad Myach Viaduct

The photo is today, the story from December, or any number of other times over the years. Unfortunately it's all to common in this place, which has become infamous for such things.

Gwent Police were called to the scene at the A4048 near the Ystrad Mynach Tesco after reports of an injured woman in the road.
She had fallen from the Hengoed viaduct on the morning of Friday, December 14.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Air Ambulance service was needed and police helped to close the road off to create an impromptu landing pad.
The woman was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Heath, Cardiff, but later died of her injuries.
Gwent Police added there were no suspicious circumstances.
Residents in the nearby street called The Avenue said most of them had only heard the helicopter going overhead and had no idea something had happened.
Those who had encountered the blockade said they saw the ambulance service attend someone in the road, with several saying the woman may have fallen.
