Barnbougle Castle

This is Barnbougle Castle on the shores of the Firth of Forth on the Dalmeny .estate outside Edinburgh, in the distance is Edinburgh Castle & Arthur's Seat and the buildings of the Capital.

Met a friend in South Queensferry for coffee then we walked along the shores of the Forth towards Crammond, beautiful day, in amongst the trees with the sun shining it was warm!! Lots of folk out on the path enjoying the respite from the rain etc, lots of snowdrops in flower too!

I had a choice of blips, couldn't decide... I'd taken photos of the large oil tanker Orthis at HoundPoint, oil is being loaded on (PapaG will be able to tell more about that!)

Barnbougle's history dates back to 13thc, it was rebuilt in 19thc to house the then Lord Roseberry's library when he was an MP

After our walk we then had a late lunch :))
