Archaeological Find

The sun was shining on the Ochils and I went up to the Gowan Hill. When I reached the top a team led by an archaeologist was carrying out a 'dig'. They had just found this lead musket ball and stone stylus. It was quite amazing to handle these artefacts which had been underground for so long. The fort which stood there was carbon dated to 54 - 217AD and had been destroyed by fire.
