Now, as I see it......

Gotham City

This is the skyline of Gotham City, home of Superman. The building on the left is the headquarters of the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Clark Kent (Superman's alter ego) works alongside Lois Lane. If you look very carefully, you might just catch a glimpse of Superman flying past across the front of the building. No? Well, I did. Not today, admittedly, but about 27 years ago. I was working opposite here when the area was used for the filming of 'Superman 4', and the flying scenes were created using a very large crane and a lot of zip-wire. I seem to remember it took them about three days to film the flying scenes which took up about 30 seconds of the film. In real life it is Milton Keynes railway station, and it and several other buildings around the town were used in the filming. And the end result? A film which was nominated for two Razzies at the Golden Raspberry awards (Worst Supporting Actress and Worst Special Effects), hit the 'Wikipedia' list of Worst Movies, appeared in 'Empire' magazine's list of the 50 worst movies of all time, and put a stop to any more Superman movies being made for another 19 years. It was great watching the filming though.
