The Pete District

Today's story is through the 'Fan Window'

Despite the hurricane winds and driving rain, today I found this, just down from the Palace Hotel in Buxton.
The round blue plaque below the window reads:

Buxton Railway Station Fan Window
'This large fan window formed part of a pair of stations at Buxton which were opened in 1863 by the North & North Western and Midland railway Company.
The fan window, with its associated screen wall, is listed Grade II and is all that remains of the original London & North Western station'.

So now you know - I must see what else Buxton has to offer the random snap of a shutter.
