Fighting a losing battle

Overnight the floods in Datchet seemed to have stabilised, but have not really started to recede yet. The river was a few inches lower however. The afternoon rain will not have helped.

Also some idiot thought they knew best and could drive through, but ended up abandoning their car in the deepest part !

The Manor Hotel on the corner was fighting a losing battle pumping the water out.
