What mummy and step-daddy do when James is in bed

James got up this morning with a headache which is very unusual for him. He crashed out on the sofa around 11 this morning, asked for a cool bath around 1pm (he had a temperature) and then at 3pm he took himself off to bed and has been fast asleep ever since - its nearly 10pm. He will most likely sleep through to tomorrow morning now. I'm hoping that it is simply over-tiredness (he has had too many late nights this week) and that he is better tomorrow...fingers crossed that it isn't a bug. He is so rarely ill and when he is he doesn't make an ounce of fuss - just gets on with it, sleeps and looks sorry for himself but without whining. He just won't take medicine - so to get him to have some child nurofen to get his temperature down is just impossible.

Anyway, I have been slightly lost without him mooching about all afternoon, so I have spent about 3 hours starting to put together a photobook for someone...its all top secret though! After tea - chicken marinaded in a home made sauce of greek yogurt, loads of fresh coriander, chilli, paprika, cumin and black pepper, with rice and naan breads - the fireworks started going off in the street. I pouted a little and Corin promptly went to Asda to buy some ground fireworks and sparklers so that we could have some fun in the back garden.

Those sparklers were worth 20p each. Just for the dinosaur! I tried to set fire to Corin by trying to outline him - didn't think about standing behind him a little!!!

Hope everyone has had a lovely fireworks evening. We're now watching The Full Monty.

Tomorrow I write my letter of application and its all going via email on Monday (don't trust the post!)
