The Perambulation of the Lowy of Tonbridge

This is Deborah Cole a local historian holding the book she has written about the route mediaeval knights rode annually to remind the locals that they belonged to Earl Gilbert of Tonbridge Castle. To write the book she translated the 1279 description of the perambulation from mediaeval Latin and then set off into the countryside to rediscover the route and many still existing local place names.
Needless to say she recommends we wait until things have dried out a bit before trying to follow the 33 mile circular route in 2014.
