Skansonia Ferry Boat & Banquet Facility

Built in 1929 the Skansonia worked as a Ferry Boat until 1967 when she was retired from service. She was bought by a private owner from the State of Washington in 1971, and over the year was converted to a banquet facility where she is now permanently docked on Lake Union. She was refurbished in 2009.

Since she is docked in a working marine environment her neighbors have changed over the years but she does have a beautiful view of Seattle and the Space Needle from her stern.

Long day and did not get out with the camera until 7:00 PM, so another night shot for the Blip for today!
