Xin nian kuai le

Chinese New Year celebrations will conclude tomorrow, so I was fortunate to be invited to witness an unique culture and tradition.

Our host welcomed guests in a traditional chakra test, so positive energy can flow in her house. A scrumptious breakfast was prepared according tradition and each dish has a certain significance to the celebration. I even enjoyed a glass of Rose Sugared Water! As part of the 'entry fee' we were asked to bring 2 mandarins each and when we depart the host's home, we took not ours, but other 2 mandarins which we have to keep until they turn rotten, and then the mandarins should be thrown from a bridge.

On the image is a good Indian friend of mine holding the symbol of happiness, there were others that includes money and fruitful life.

So to all my Chinese friends .... Xin nian kuai le!
