St Andrews Cathedral

The remains of what was Scotland's largest and most magnificent church show how impressive St Andrews Cathedral must have been when it was built in the 12th century. The cathedral occupied a site used for worship since the 8th century AD, when the relics of St Andrew, Scotland's patron saint, are said to have been brought there.

L and I had a brief visit there this morning but it was too cold and windy to linger. A future visit is planned for a calm, mild day in the Easter holidays.
