Filtering out the rain (18 of 84)

A day without rain!? Could I be dreaming!?

A friend from work lent me his circular polarising filter to take out at lunchtime. It doesn't fit my 50mm lens (I don't have any filters that do!), but I improvised and am reasonably pleased with the outcome. I intentionally overexposed the non-filtered outer zone.

On the way home, there was the most awesome sunset. I drove by the most perfect photo opportunity that I could ever wish to have. the downside was that there was nowhere to stop and I had to race home to get the youngest to Beavers. FAIL!
