Over the Waverley roofs

Well, I'm here for the second time with the night shot in stable position ;-)

That's the classical view over the Waverley Station rooftops from the Scotsman Hotel side near the North Bridge.

Was little bit uncomfortable windy position. Need to wait for moment when wind was not so strong. Real fact that lightweight NOKIA on Joby for mobile is not so stable.

For the first shot I used the 2 sec shutter speed because my NOKIA's camera firmware is set up for night time regime more than for daily photos. Then I did the 1 sec and 1/2 sec shots to find the best result. That's fact and it's highly recommended to take a few testing pictures in every weather condition (day - sunny, cloudy/night) if you want more about that. Then you will see like me that LUMIAs (720,920,925,1020,1520) are suited better for night regime. But not in every case. I'm pretty sure that 920,925,1020,1520 are little bit different league than my low-budget 720.
Flagship NOKIA Lumia 1520 is supported even in the software Adobe LIGHTROOM vers.5.3.

Note that basic models like Lumia 520,620 are without the Zeiss optics and results should be different. Some Nokia's application needs Windows Phone operation system vers.Amber. Users of 720,920,925,1020,1520 should be pretty sure that they have that system version.

If you are user of Nokia with Zeiss mobile optics like Lumia 720,920,925,1020,1520 so here is the list of recommended applications :

NOKIA Camera (free - windows store)
NOKIA Panorama (free - windows store)
NOKIA Cinemagraph (free - windows store)

for basic editing in smartphone

NOKIA Creative Studio (free - windows store)

third parties apps :

ProShot (1,50£ - windows store)
- recommended only for Lumia's like 720, 920,925,1020,1520 and for experienced and enthusiastic users

Photosynth (free - windows store) - panoramic app from Microsoft

That's all about night-watch for today.

Have a good Friday everybody.
