Transport Nagar

Imagine lively bollywood music playing in the background?.Suddenly a rickshaw pulls into sight?behind a tiny silver car?FOLLOW THAT CAR?and suddenly the rickshaw is careening through the heavy traffic in the roundabout in Jaipur center dodging motorcycles and horsecarts as it swerves and guns the motor in hot pursuit. Over crowded bridges, around massive goods carriers (like the one above), buzzing the little engine at top speed?through smoky city streets filled with vegetable stands and slow moving camel carts.

That was me, last night (well, without the bollywood music, but it should have been there). We went to the wrong place for the Brahma Kumari program (but we weren?t the only ones ? a family in a little silver car also went in the wrong direction?FOLLOW THAT CAR!). It was pretty crazy and very bollywood chase scene. Of course, we were probably only going about 25 or 30 tops?I was only truly terrified about three or four times.

THIS goods carrier is near a place called Transport Nagar (for good reason). It is where the truckers take their goods carriers when they break down or if they just want to hang out with other truckers on their way to elsewhere.
