Two Roses; Two Loves; and Marmite

Inspired by Joe Blogs (the founder of Blipfoto), my daughters posed after our impromptu Valentine's Day meal, with two of the dozen roses our son-in-law bought for D. (So romantic - don't think I've EVER had a dozen red roses...)

S and M had to go do the youth work at church, but decided I'd celebrate, even if it had to be quick, so braved the elements to acquire the elements and, between us, made a very satisfactory meal: smoked salmon wrapped round toasted asparagus; 21-day fillet steak with chips, roasted vine tomatoes, broccoli and garlic mushrooms; followed by hot chocolate fudge pudding with raspberries and cream. Yum, yum, and yum.

I hope St Valentine (beheaded by Emperor Claudius II on this day in 269 for, amongst other crimes, marrying Christian couples) is looking down and blowing us all a kiss...
