Cables

On Tuesday we had a mysterious wet patch on the office carpet, coming from under the sink. Yesterday someone came and replaced the bit of pipe that was leaking. Today the entire corridor smelled of drains, the office more so.

I took my laptop and found somewhere less whiffy to work, but I had to reconnect it later on. This involves disconnecting the mouse (or another suitable cable) and feeding it down the hole in the desk, tying it to the power cable and carefully pulling the assembly back up. We also had to shift two (full) filing cabinets, as the cleaners had offered to shampoo the carpet and the wet patch had spread underneath them. That seemed to be one of the more useful things I did today.
