With ten minutes to curtain up this afternoon - a cast member received a phone call from C - who plays Simon in the panto - to say she was stuck in traffic - and may be late

In her attempt to arrive on time - C exceeded the speed limit and was stopped - outside the chapel where the show is held - by the police for speeding.

Sergeant Grab Em - seen here - along with his boss - Inspector Nab Em - came to the aid of C. Other members of the cast were stood in the doorway looking on.

All were in full costume - and the upshot was that the very nice policeman didn't issue a speeding ticket
