Logan Burn

We were walking with the club today in the Pentland Hills. We did an 8 mile hike from Balerno to Flotterston, and at least four of them were through muddy paths. It was sleeting when we started in the morning, and the sleet remained on for some time, but eventually as we reached Logan Burn it became dry and we actually finished the walk in sunshine.

The mud was hard to negotiate, had to watch the feet all the time, one of our party fell and sprained her wrist, but after attending to her we carried on and had lunch sitting on the stone bridge at The Howe before heading along past Loganlee Reservoir and Glencorse Reservoir and eventually meeting our coach at Flotterston.

We changed out of our walking gear and headed for a drink or two in Penicuik. We found a nice wee lounge and had a very pleasant hour with a drink and a chat.

So we had a good day. Hope you all did!
