Calton Hill

On a day like today which was almost springlike, I am unable to resist a quick stroll up Calton Hill on my way to Easter Road for football. This must be one of the greatest viewpoints in the World as it provides views of this great city in all directions. It is also crowned with a quite odd collection of buildings and structures. Here we have Edinburgh's folly - an abandoned attempt to replicate the Parthenon- and Nelson"s Tower.
I continued my walk along Regent Terrace, a splendid part of Georgian Edinburgh and so to Easter Road.
The day finished with a 2-1 win...hardly inspiring but we will take it.
