A present from my love

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years, and this was our 5th Valentine's day as a couple. All this time, he hadn't acknowledged, much less remembered, the holiday. Not because he didn't want to, but the sporadic work hours never really allowed him to make an effort in regards to gift getting or dinner reserving. He knew this particular Valentine's day would be hard on me without my mother being here, and he did what he could to make the day at least a little better for me emotionally. Happy tears aside, he made everything better, if only for a little while. I have the best boyfriend ever, and he gave me the best present.
