Our hosts

Amika San and Fugi San are our wonderful hosts. They are so friendly, provide a lovely lodge that is warm and homely, and amazing food. They will also take us to the base of the ski area and collect us at the end of the day. Actually do not know how they do it. He said they finish at midnight and get up at 5 yet always have a smile and time to be friendly.

Our Japanese breakfasts have lots of tasty mini meals. Eg stir fried veg, fresh greens salad, egg dish, platter of yummy fish, then the usual miso and veg soup, 6 bowls of little treats you can select eg herring parcels wrapped in seaweed, fish roe, crunchy sweetish shrimps. And others I am not sure what that are but they usually taste good. Then of course there are fresh pikelets, tinned fruit and slices of fresh fruit, toast, coffee etc. What a load of work for about 20 guests.
So many little platters. Some platters with a sketch of their lodge the Ramina.

Eating in tonight wonder what we will get. He is a great chef.

Sorry I had no access to Internet most of yesterday. If you have time glance at the candle holders made of ice. Today I let the others ski. Wise choice as weather was poor.
